Howard was nearly untouchable for Seward this
week in a pair of appearances. Opposing batters
hit just .040 against the lefty in 25 at bats as
he allowed just 1 hit in 8 innings of work while
striking out 10. In a perfect inning Wednesday
against Clarendon he fanned 2 to close out
Seward�s 12-3 win over the Bulldogs. Sunday in
game three of the Saints series with Cloud
County he dominated the T-Birds, allowing just 1
hit while striking out 8 in a 7-0 shutout win.

Sophomore Cooper Langley hit .560 over the week
(14 for 25) and tied the Hutchinson baseball
team record for hitting streaks, which has
reached 19 in a 4-2 week for the Blue Dragons.
In the Jayhawk West series against Barton,
Langley was 12 for 17 (.706) which included a
streak of 11 plate appearances that had 10 hits
and an intentional walk. Langley slugged .800
with four doubles, a triple and 11 RBIs. Langley
had a .571 on-base percentage. Over his
record-tying 19-game hitting streak, Langley is
hitting .519 (40 for 77) with 13 extra base hits
and 28 RBIs. He�s had 6 2-hit, 3 3-hit and 3
four-hit games during the streak.
