Betty won the Colby Community College Cross Country Meet by over one minute. Her time of 15:12 for the 4k course set a new course record.

Jeniffer led the Cowley women to the team championship at the Friends Univ. Invitational held at Lake Afton in Goddard, KS. Jeniffer went out in a quick pace for the first mile, but was able to hold on for 2nd place in the 5,000 meter distance with a time of 19:45. Her time was 43 seconds faster then Cowley's top finisher (Linet Birir, who finished 10th at Nationals) at this meet last season.

JCCC freshman Christa Heideman of Wamego, Kan., was the individual medalist at the JCCC Cavalier Cup, leading JCCC to an overall team first-place finish. She finished the course in 12:05. Heideman had a third-place finish at the Maple Leaf Invitational in her collegiate debut.

JCCC sophomore Jackie Jamison helped her team to first-place finish at the JCCC Cavalier Cup with a runner-up finish in the individual standings. Jamison posted a time of 12:25, bettering her mark of 12:47 in the event in 2005.
