Watkins, a receiver from Nashville, TN averaged 41 yards per
return on two kickoff returns in a 54-3 win at Highland,
including a 65-yard return for a touchdown that gave Butler
a 16-0 lead in the first quarter. Watkins finished the day
with 182 yards of total offense, catching six passes for 100
yards and another touchdown.

Dodge City kicked the ball away from Patton most of the
game, but that didn’t stop the freshman from making an
impact on special teams. Patton blocked a Conquistador punt
and then recovered the ball in the end zone for a game icing
touchdown that gave Coffeyville a 27-6 lead with 13:40 left
in the fourth quarter. It was the Ravens second blocked
punt recovered for a touchdown on the afternoon. |
