Playing for the first time in 22 months, Luke
Barnes had a wonderful debut for the No. 10
Hutchinson Blue Dragons after he threw for a
school-record 459 yards and five touchdown
passes in a 58-26 victory over No. 17
Coffeyville on Saturday at Gowans Stadium.
Barnes, a transfer from Troy University,
completed 28 of 38 passes and hit nine different
receivers in the game. Barnes accounted for
six total touchdowns. He also rushed for one
score and a total of 21 yards.

touchdown to cut Blue Dragons’ lead to
20-17. Reed also caught three passes for
120 yards with a long of 72 which went
for a TD in the first quarter to give
the Ravens an early 10-7 lead.
