tremendous passion for the game of football. I believe
he will actively involve the community in the program
and bring the two together. I also think Matt will do a
tremendous job bringing in quality young men to the
program.” “Matt has a wealth of football knowledge and

Matt brings an infinite knowledge of what it takes to
succeed in collegiate football. His work ethic in
recruiting and coaching is top notch. People in Garden
City have already seen what he can do with an offense,
so it will be exciting. Matt will bring an energy level
that Garden City needs to compete with the top of the
Jayhawk Conference.”
Mike Ekeler, Co-Defensive Coordinator, University of
Indiana: “Matt has been a close friend for a number of
years, and I am really excited about this opportunity
that he has in front of him. Matt’s passion for the game
of football and the energy that he puts into his work
will make Garden City a successful program. Matt will
surround himself with good football people and good
football players. He knows so many people in the
football world that he is constantly going to have a
connection to the top players around the nation. Combine
that with his offensive knowledge and desire to win; it
