Cunningham closed her career as one of the best players in Seward County history. During her sophomore season, Cunningham led the Jayhawk West in scoring (21.3 ppg.) and was her team's leading rebounder averaging 7.9 boards per contest. Earlier this month, Cunningham was recognized as the Jayhawk West Conference Most Valuable Player, and as a First Team All-Conference and All-Region VI selection for the second consecutive season. She helped lead the Lady Saints to 59 victories in her two-year junior college career. Cunningham's career also included five NJCAA Player of the Week selections, 68 games where she scored in double figures, 28 career double-doubles, 27 games scoring at least 20 points, five contests recording at least 30 points, and 44 games where she led her team in scoring. The Seward County women's basketball program has now had 21 All-American selections (9 WBCA All-Americans) over the past 10 seasons. Cunningham has now been named to four All-American lists, including a 2007 First Team NJCAA All-American, 2007 WBCA First Team All-American, 2007-2008 NJCAA Pre-Season First Team All-American and 2008 WBCA/State Farm Coaches' Association First Team All-American. Cunningham's recognition is the 21st All-American selection in the Seward County women's basketball program (9 WBCA All-Americans) during the past 10 seasons.
