Sophomore starter David Tudhope tossed a two-hit shutout in a pressure situation as No. 14 Hutchinson and Dodge City played a pivotal four-game series which was swept by the Blue Dragons. In game 2 of the series, the Blue Dragon sophomore lefty allowed only five baserunners in the game and just one reached second base. Sophomore All-American shortstop Shane Cooper was nails from the leadoff spot for the No. 14 Blue Dragons on a four-game sweep of Dodge City at Hobart-Detter Field. Cooper hit .600, an on-base percentage of .667 and a slugging percentage of 1.267. Cooper was 9 for 15 with two doubles, a triple, a pair of home runs, eight runs scored and seven RBIs in the four-game series. In Hutch's 6-5 win in the third game of the series, Cooper hit a game-tying 2-run home run in the second to knot the game at 4. Then in the finale, Cooper went 4 for 4 with a double, home run and a career-high five RBIs. He also scored three runs in the game. Cooper also moved into fourth place on the Blue Dragon career hits list with 154 career hits.
