2017 KJCCC Baseball Players of the Week, Week 12
Corrigan Bartlett bounced back from Wednesday's loss at No. 6 Hutchinson with a much needed performance enabling the Barton Cougars to pull out a doubleheader split on Friday. Going 5-for-7 from the plate in the twinbill, all five hits were extra bases including a third inning two-out double driving in the go-ahead run sparking a five run inning in the 5-4 game one win. In game two's 3-for-4 performance, Bartlett's three extra base hits played a part in run-scoring innings, none larger than a one-out RBI triple then scoring the tying run one at-bat later. Slugging a 1.000 percentage, Bartlett finished the week batting .455 to raise his average to .427 while reaching base at a .538 clip in the three games.
