2016 KJCCC Football Players of the Week, Week 12
Tra Minter's 234-yard rushing performance was a season high as the Garden City Broncbusters clinched their first unbeaten regular season since 2000. Minter had 195 yards rushing in the first half while ripping off two, 50-yard runs in the first 30 minutes; the second of those lead to Garden City's second score…With his career-best afternoon, Minter now leads the nation in rushing heading into the national championship game.
Delshawn Phillips, Garden City sophomore, notched his third, double-digit tackle performance of the season, recording 15 stops, spearheading a defense that leads the nation in points per game allowed. He was also part of a unit that yielded just 20 points in five games at home. He currently leads the team in tackles and is 10th in the conference in stops.
