2016-17 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, Week 2

After missing the season opener with a sore back, Erin Alexander was huge for the undefeated Cloud CountyT-Birds (4-0, 1-0 KJCCC) during their three games last week as she posted double-doubles in all three games she played in. None were more impressive than her 22 points and 21 rebounds on the road against Dodge City on Saturday. The 21 rebounds were one shy of a school record she tied last season (March 1) against Garden City, and it's the third time in her career that she has grabbed 20 rebounds or more.

Sophomore guard Tyra Jones, Labette, wasted no time in establishing herself as a scorer for the Lady Cardinals. In three games last week, she averaged 24 points per game, with a high game of 28 against Murray State OK.  Jones also averaged five rebounds during the same stretch.
