2017 KJCCC Baseball Players of the Week, Week 2

Mason Hiser pitched a complete game scattering three hits and striking out six with no walks in Barton's game two win Saturday at Rose State College.   Silencing the Indian bats having pounded out twelve hits in game one, Hiser's lone run given up came on a fifth inning sacrifice fly as the Augusta sophomore picked up his first win of 2017. 

Through 14 games, Conner Reynolds is tied for the nation's lead with seven home runs. He's gone deep in five straight games and has hit safely in 10 out of Garden City's first 14 contests. He's currently tied for third in the country with 20 runs batted in. 

JCCC sophomore left-hander Stuart Baruth picked up a save and a win in his two relief outings last week. He pitched the final two innings in an 11-5 win over Ellsworth. He did not allow a hit or a run and struck out five. Two days later in a 14-10 win over Ellsworth, Baruth pitched three scoreless innings, allowing just two singles with five strikeouts and was the winning pitcher.
