KJCCC Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 4
Player of the Week: Carson Long – Pratt Community College
Cason Long is off to a hot start on the mound and at the plate. He is currently hitting .383 with 6 doubles, 4 homeruns, and 17 RBIs on the season so far. He was dynamic on the second day vs Highland, throwing a complete game win in game 1 and hitting 3 homeruns with 5 RBIs including the go ahead 2 run shot in the top of the 8th in game 2.
Pitcher of the Week: Kinson Michel – Coffeyville Community College
Kinson Michel has won back-to-back starts for Coffeyville, while finishing off the sweep of the day of Hutchinson. It was his first complete game of the year and did it while only throwing 85 pitches for the game with 58 of them being strikes. He is now 2-0 on the year, with a 2.93 era.
