2016 KJCCC Football Players of the Week, Week 11
Sophomore Tre Griffin rushed for a career high 197 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hutchinson Blue Dragons to a big 42-24 road victory at Fort Scott. Griffin carried the workload with a career-high 37 attempts to become the first Hutchinson running back to rush the ball 30 or more times since 2008. Griffin had a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to put Hutchinson up 21-10. His 21-yard third-quarter touchdown run answered a Fort Scott touchdown and gave the Dragons a 28-17 lead
Dominic Cizauskas broke the Fort Scott single season tackle record with his performance on Saturday surpassing former Hound and NFL All-Pro Lavonte David of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cizauskas has 131 total tackles on the season with one game to go. Dominic's interception set up a score for the Greyhounds.
Freshman Ronnie Jamison gave the Highland Scotties a big boost with a 2nd quarter kick-off return for an 89 yard touchdown to help lead Highland to 48-10 victory over #9 ranked Coffeyville. Ronnie ended the day with 2 kick-off returns for 114 yards while adding 3 successful 2 point conversions – 2 rushing and 1 receiving. Ronnie also added 6 carries for 39 yards and one reception for 14 yards to bring him to 167 yards of total offense on the day.
