KJCCC FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 10
Players from Hutchinson and Dodge City earned Jayhawk Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Hutchinson quarterback Dylan Laible's record-setting performance earned him Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time. Dodge City linebacker Nico Perofeta was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week. There were no nominees for Special Teams Player of the Week this week
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Dylan Laible, Hutchinson
Hutchinson sophomore quarterback Dylan Laible threw for a Hutchinson single-game record seven touchdown passes and a career-high 365 yards in only 11 completions in a quarter-and-a-half in the Blue Dragons' 77-0 opening-round KJCCC/Region VI Playoff victory over Highland. Laible led the Blue Dragons to touchdowns on 8 of 9 possessions while he was in the game, throwing touchdown passes of 77, 4, 20, 5, 42, 95 and 65 yards. Laible was 11 of 15 passing. Over his last two games, Laible has completed 27 of 39 passes for 728 yards and 12 touchdowns.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Nico Perofeta, Dodge City
Dodge City Conquistadors finished their season with a tough 36-16 first round Region VI KJCCC playoffs loss at Garden City but battled into the fourth quarter trailing by single digits in the final quarter of the game. The Conqs were able to compete and keep the contest close unlike the first time around during the regular season against Garden City. Defensively it was linebacker, Nico Perofeta leading the Conquistadors with 14 tackles including two tackles for loss as the Conqs totaled 12 tackles for loss as a team in the game. On the season he finishes with 46 tackles good for a 5.8 tackles per game average, while adding 1.5 sacks on the year.
