Players from Hutchinson, Coffeyville and Dodge City are named the Jayhawk Conference's Football Players of the Week for Week 5.

Hutchinson's Dylan Kedzior was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts off the bench in No. 2 Hutchinson's 14-9 win at Coffeyville. Coffeyville's Bishop Fitzgerald was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Dodge City's Tavares Williams earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

DYLAN KEDZIOR, Hutchinson - Offensive Player of the Week
The Hutchinson sophomore running back came out of the bullpen to lift the Blue Dragon offense when it needed it most in a 14-9 KJCCC win on Saturday at Coffeyville. Kedzior entered the game in the fourth quarter and rushed 12 times for 75 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown for the go-ahead score with 1:17 to play in the fourth quarter. Kedzior missed the Iowa Central game with two weeks ago and was cleared to play on Saturday. He didn't enter the game until the fourth quarter and averaged 7.1 yards per carry.

BISHOP FITZGERALD, Coffeyville - Defensive Player of the Week
The Red Raven sophomore defensive back was a force against No. 2 Hutchinson.  Fitzgerald had eight total tackles and a pass break up in the contest.  The play of the game for the Red Ravens was created when Fitzgerald, late in the second quarter, forced a fumble at the Blue Dragon 15-yard line and Fitzgerald was then able to scoop and score to pull the Ravens within a point 7-6 as well as give Coffeyville some momentum heading into halftime.

TAVARES WILLIAMS, Dodge City - Special Teams Player of the Week
Dodge City picked up its second win of the season with a 46-6 victory over Diamond Football Academy and are off to their best start in a season since 2017 sitting at 2-2. The second score of the game came from the Conquistadors special teams as Tavares Williams made a heads up play and recovered a bad snap on punt by Diamond Football Academy in the endzone to score a touchdown for the Conqs.
