2025 All-KJCCC Football Teams Announced
COLBY, Kan. – Following an unbeaten regular season and their fifth Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference title in the past six seasons, Hutchinson Community College players Derrick Salley Jr. and Darius Wiley are joined by Blue Dragon head coach Drew Dallas and Coffeyville Community College quarterback Mac Armstrong as major award winners to highlight the 2025 All-KJCCC Football teams.
KJCCC Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year – Derrick Salley Jr. (Hutchinson)
Bringing in a team-best 41 receptions for 726 receiving yards this season, Salley Jr. left his mark on the NJCAA receiving leaderboards after hauling in an NJCAA-best 12 touchdowns and averaging 17.7 yards per reception. The top Blue Dragon target offensively throughout the year, Salley Jr. recorded three 100-yard receiving games including a season-best 146 yards on eight catches with three touchdowns in a 35-17 win at Iowa Central and posted three games with multiple touchdowns. The Green Pond, South Carolina native had a touchdown reception in each of the first six games of the season, hauling in at least two receptions in all 10 games this year while accounting for nearly 20 percent of HCC’s total offensive production.
KJCCC Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year – Mac Armstrong (Coffeyville)
Armstrong helped lead the Red Ravens to a 7-3 record and second-place finish in the KJCCC standings while throwing for 1,996 passing yards and 19 touchdowns in addition to 51 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground. The redshirt freshman completed 57.2 percent of his pass attempts throughout the year and eclipsed the 200-yard mark passing in four of 10 games this season, including a career-best 327 yards in a 28-20 road win over Independence in the season finale. Armstrong had just one pass intercepted across 257 total attempts and averaged 199.6 passing yards per contest and 13.6 yards per pass completion.
KJCCC Football Defensive Player of the Year – Darius Wiley (Hutchinson)
Wreaking havoc on the defensive line and making a living in the backfield of opponents, Wiley finished with 49 total tackles and a team-best 8.5 sacks, with the sack total ranking 12th nationally among all NJCAA D1 football players. Averaging 4.9 tackles per game, Wiley also forced one fumble, had one pass breakup, and one blocked field goal on special teams. The 8.5 sacks for Wiley resulted in 39 lost yards for opponents to go along with 17.5 tackles for loss.
KJCCC Football Coach of the Year – Drew Dallas (Hutchinson)
Earning his fifth KJCCC Football Coach of the Year award in six seasons as head coach, Dallas and the Blue Dragons are looking to defend their 2024 NJCAA National Title following an unbeaten 10-0 regular season and KJCCC regular season title. Posting wins over four top 10 opponents and five nationally ranked foes this season, the Blue Dragons averaged a KJCCC-best 400.3 yards per game offensively while allowing an NJCAA-best 10.0 points per game to opponents with only one foe scoring over 20 points. The Blue Dragons also rank in the top five in NJCAA Division 1 Football in points per game (44.0, fourth), Red zone scores (40-47, second), fumbles recovered (18, first), and defensive interceptions (17, fourth).
