The victory was the 15th straight for Hutchinson, which is now the third-longest winning streak in program history as the Blue Dragons advance to their second-straight NJCAA Division 1 Football National Championship game, where they will face off with number two-seed Iowa Western Community College in a rematch of last year’s National Title game.
The appearance in the National Title game will be the fourth overall NJCAA Championship game for Hutchinson when it takes on the Reivers on Wednesday, December 17 at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium in Canyon, Texas. The Blue Dragons tie a program record for wins in a season, matching the 2014, 2022, and 2024 teams with 11 wins in a season.
Blue Dragon head coach Drew Dallas earned his 60th victory on the Hutchinson sideline. Now in his sixth season, Dallas is 60-5 with six KJCCC Championships (5 regular season, 1 playoff), four national semifinal appearances, and now four berths in the national championship game.
