2025 KJCCC Football Players of the Week - Week 11
COLBY, Kan. – A trio of first-time honorees have earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Football Player of the Week Awards, with Highland offensive player TJ Porter and Coffeyville players Taylor Cline and Aidan Burgess all picking up week 11 honors.
TJ Porter (Highland) – KJCCC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Evoking memories of Barry Sanders, Porter nearly led Highland to its first win of the season against number 14 Garden City in a hard-fought 20-13 defeat. The orchestrator of Highland's wildcat offense, the 5-6 running back racked up 161 yards on the ground and was responsible for both Scottie touchdowns on the afternoon while adding a five-yard pass that turned into a 20-yard gain with a roughing the passer penalty.
Taylor Cline (Coffeyville) – KJCCC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Red Raven red-shirt freshman defensive back Taylor Cline helped lead the Red Raven defense as Coffeyville went on the road to defeat the Conquistadors of Dodge City 42-10. In the game, Taylor had 5 total tackles, including one tackle for loss, a 7-yard sack, and a pass breakup in limiting Dodge City to 10 points.
Aidan Burgess (Coffeyville) – KJCCC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Coffeyville kicker Aidan Burgess had a tremendous afternoon helping the number eight-ranked Red Ravens defeat Dodge City 42-10 on the road. Burgess was a perfect four-of-four on extra points and two-of-two- on field goals, including a career-long 51-yard make. Also handling kickoff duties, Burgess kicked off eight times and had 5 touchbacks while totaling 423 kickoff yards.
