COLBY, Kan. – Starting their 2025 season with a 42-27 road win over number four-ranked Navarro College, the Garden City Community College football team had two players pick up national honors on Wednesday (September 10) with defensive back Greg Johnson and return specialist Donovan Moore each being named NJCAA D1 Football Player of the Week.

Greg Johnson sparked Garden City's defense in a 42-27 road win over number four Navarro on Saturday, finishing with seven tackles and two interceptions in the Broncobusters' season-opening win.

Donovan Moore (Garden City) – NJCAA D1 Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Donovan Moore gave Garden City a momentum swing in Saturday's 42-27 road win over number four Navarro, returning the opening kickoff of the second half 100 yards for a touchdown, putting GCCC up 28-10.
