Hutchinson, Three Other KJCCC Teams Ranked In NJCAA Rankings Ahead Of Final Week Of Regular Season
NJCAA Division 1 Football Week 13 Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – With just one week remaining in the 2025 regular season, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference features three teams ranked in the top 10 of NJCAA Division 1 Football rankings released on Monday, November 17th.
Just two changes occurring within the top seven leave the top four of the rankings unchanged with Hutchinson topping the poll as they have done all season following last week’s 49-7 win at Highland to improve to 9-0 and clinch at least a share of the KJCCC Football regular season title. Number two, ranked Iowa Western moved to 9-1 with a shutout victory over Ellsworth heading into their regular season finale at home against Highland next week while number three ranked Tyler Junior College improved to 10 following a 35-28 win over Cisco College in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference semifinals. Securing a likely spot in the NJCAA D1 football playoffs, number four-ranked Northwest Mississippi Community College, as the Rangers earned a 16-13 win over number six Mississippi Gulf Coast to win the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference title and improve to 10-1. The loss by previously number five Mississippi Gulf Coast allows Georgia Military College to swap spots with the Bulldogs while Coffeyville earned a 28-20 win in their regular season finale over Independence to hold steady at number seven. Also ranked from the KJCCC is number 10 Butler as the Grizzlies used a 30-10 road win at Dodge City to move up three spots while Garden City dropped three spots down to number 14 following their overtime home defeat to number eight Iowa Central.
Across the NJCAA, just four games are set to take place in the final week of the regular season with three of the games featuring KJCCC schools. The lone conference matchup will be a 1 PM kickoff at Gowans Stadium between top-ranked Hutchinson and number 14 Garden City as the Blue Dragons can secure an outright KJCCC title with a win. Also in action from the conference is number 10 Butler heading to number eight Iowa Central for a 1 PM kickoff in Fort Dodge while Highland is at number two Iowa Western for a 2 PM kickoff in Council Bluffs. The lone other matchup taking place is the SWJCFC Championship game featuring number three Tyler Junior College hosting number 11 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at 2 PM in Tyler, Texas.
