NJCAA Division 1 Football Week 11 Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – Entering the final month of the regular season, four Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference football teams hold rankings in the newest NJCAA D1 Football rankings released on Monday, November 3rd.
Four different NJCAA Regions continue to have representation in the top four of the poll as unchanged from last week is number one Hutchinson, number two Iowa Western, number three Tyler Junior College, and number four Northwest Mississippi as the four teams hold a combined 32-2 overall record. The Blue Dragons were the lone KJCCC team to maintain their ranking from the prior week as Coffeyville is one of the week’s biggest movers in the latest poll by moving up five spots from 13 back up to number eight following a 52-7 home win over Ellsworth Community College. A top 10 showdown last week between top-ranked Hutchinson and Butler that ended in a 27-12 Blue Dragon win dropped the Grizzlies from number nine down two spots to number 11 in the latest rankings, while Garden City fell three spots from 11 down to number 14 following a road loss to Iowa Western Community College.
Six of seven KJCCC teams are in action this week, with top-ranked Hutchinson the lone conference team on a bye this week, while two conference games and two games between KJCCC and ICCAC schools make up this week’s schedule. The earliest kickoff of the four-game slate will come in Fort Dodge, Iowa, as Independence travels north to take on the 12th-ranked Tritons, while Garden City will travel to Highland for a 1 PM kickoff at Porter Family Stadium. Also kicking off at 1 PM on Saturday is a matchup between number eight Coffeyville and Dodge City from Memorial Stadium in Dodge City, while Butler is back at home to host number two-ranked Iowa Western in a 5 PM kickoff from BG Products Veterans Stadium in El Dorado.
