NJCAA Football Week 1 Rankings Sees No Changes For KJCCC Schools
NJCAA Division 1 Football Week 1 Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – Following eight NJCAA Division 1 football teams officially kicking off the 2025 season over the weekend, the NJCAA has released its first NJCAA Division 1 Football regular season poll of the season as no Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference team saw changes to their rankings from the preseason poll.
Remaining atop the poll and once again receiving all 12 first-place votes was Hutchinson Community College after none of the top four teams in the preseason poll played over the weekend which equated to no changes to their preseason rankings. The only change to the top five was Snow College swapping spots with Georgia Military College, as both the Badgers and Bulldogs were in action on Saturday. Snow defeated the Utah Islanders 59-7 while GMC took down Central Georgia Technical College 69-13.
Following Georgia Military is Garden City as the Broncbusters remain ranked number seven with 89 total points while seeing Tyler Junior College move up one spot to number eight and switch positions with Copiah-Lincoln Community College after the Apaches took down Dodge City 27-7 in Tyler on Saturday evening. Other changes in the poll saw Kilgore College move up into a tie for the number 10 ranking with Mississippi Gulf Coast, while Trinity Valley made a three-spot move after earning a 28-15 road win over Independence on Saturday.
Also ranked from the KJCCC is Butler Community College, as the Grizzlies were idle during week 0, while Coffeyville Community College is one of four teams receiving votes just outside the top-15. Butler will open their season this coming Saturday at Northeast Oklahoma A&M, while Coffeyville will have another off week before opening its season at home on September 6th against Cisco College.
This week’s KJCCC schedule will feature three games taking place as Independence will get its second game of the season played when they make the trek to Iowa Falls, Iowa, to take on a 1-0 Ellsworth team that is now receiving votes in the NJCAA D1 Football poll. Also playing is Highland as the Scotties will open their season at home against number five Snow College, while Butler heads to Miami, OK to open their season against NEO A&M.
