Three KJCCC Football Teams Ranked, Fourth Receiving Votes Heading Into Week 3
NJCAA Division 1 Football Week 2 Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – Movement and changes to the NJCAA Division 1 Football top 15 poll continues to be minimal as three Kansas Jayhawk Community College teams remain ranked with a fourth receiving votes after the NJCAA released its week two regular season poll on Tuesday, September 2nd.
The top five in the third rendition of the 2025 poll remains the same, with Hutchinson Community College again receiving 150 points and all 12 first-place votes to be ranked number one ahead of their season opener on Saturday when the Blue Dragons head to New Mexico Military Institute to kick off their campaign. Representing the first change in the poll is Garden City Community College after the Broncbusters took advantage of Georgia Military Institute falling at number two Iowa Western which allowed GCCC to move up one spot to number six ahead of their season opener on the road this Saturday at number four Navarro College.
With GMC being the only team to see their ranking change more than one spot, the other ranked team from the KJCCC is Butler Community College after seeing the Grizzlies earn a 27-20 road win at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Saturday evening in Miami, Oklahoma, to hold the number 15 ranking after being ranked number 14 last week.
On the cusp of being ranked ahead of their season opener is Coffeyville Community College as the Red Ravens will kick off their season at home on Saturday against another team receiving votes, Cisco College. The Red Ravens will be one of three KJCCC teams that have yet to begin their 2025 season, with Hutchinson and Garden City also officially getting their seasons started on Saturday.
The only other KJCCC team that will be in action this week is Independence Community College, with the Pirates hitting the road for a second-straight week when they head to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M after earning a 51-14 win over Ellsworth last weekend. ICC will be one of just two NJCAA Division 1 teams to play a game in each of the first three weeks of the season against another NJCAA team, joining Georgia Military, who will face off with Community Christian College (Louisiana) this Saturday.
