2025-26 KJCCC Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 12
COLBY, Kan. – Accounting for four double-doubles across five games last week, Dodge City Community College sophomore Rickey Loftin II and Johnson County Community College forward Tavian Cruse have each earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.
Rickey Loftin II – Dodge City (KJCCC Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Dodge City men's basketball split on the week with a big win over Cloud County and tough loss at Cowley. Rickey Loftin II continued his strong play this season with a pair of 20-plus point performances, scoring 20 on nine-of-19 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double on the road against Cowley. The sophomore followed up by matching his best scoring performance as a Conquistador with 28 points on nine-of-16 shooting and eight-for-nine at the charity stripe in a win over Cloud County while adding nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Tavian Cruse – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Tavian Cruse helped the number three-ranked Cavaliers remain unbeaten by leading them to three double-digit victories last week. The sophomore forward produced double-doubles in points and rebounds in all three games to give him 11 double-doubles on the season and 26 for his career, second-most all-time in team history. Cruse opened the week with 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 91-66 win at Fort Scott before posting a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double two days later in an 81-55 win at Neosho County. Capping the week off with another 14-point, 11 rebound outing, Cruse helped lead the Cavaliers to a 73-62 home win over Allen.
