2025 All-KJCCC/NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 Men’s Soccer Selections
COLBY, Kan. – Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Men’s Soccer regular season champion Neosho County Community College has swept the 2025 KJCCC/NJCAA Region 6 men’s soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards with Callum Niven and Luke Butcher both earning honors while Johnson County Community College head coach Jeff Cole has been named Coach of the Year as part of the conference’s postseason awards.
Jeff Cole – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year)
After going 11-4-4 in the regular season, Cole led Johnson County to the NJCAA Region 6/9 Division 2 Men’s Soccer Tournament title with a 2-1 road win at previously unbeaten Neosho County to advance to the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer North Plains District Title where they will take on Iowa Lakes Community College in Spencer, Iowa on Friday evening. Three of JCCC’s four losses came to teams who are currently ranked in the top 12 of the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer top 20 poll, with the Cavaliers winning their final five matches heading into Friday’s matchup with the number seven ranked Lakers.
Callum Niven – Neosho County (KJKCCC Division 2 Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year)
Niven earned his second-straight KJCCC Division 2 men’s soccer scoring title by tallying 14 goals across 16 games this season which included four multi-goal performances. Niven also led the KJCCC with 31 points while taking a conference-best 50 total shots and scoring three-game winning goals to rank second in the league. Nationally, Niven ranks 23rd among all NJCAA Division 2 men’s soccer players in goals and 32nd in game-winning goals.
Luke Butcher – Neosho County (KJKCCC Division 2 Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year)
A main piece of Neosho County’s back line defense, Luke Butcher helped the Panthers finish the regular season with an unbeaten 13-0-3 record as the Panthers conceded a total of 13 goals in the regular season. Opponents scored multiple goals on NCCC just four times throughout the year including the postseason, with Neosho winning six matches by shutout. Nationally, the Panthers rank 11th in goals against average (0.89), are tied for 13th in total goals allowed, and tied for 17th in total shutouts.
