Cloud County's Conor Matthews Named NJCAA D1 Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC – Recording national qualifying mark in the triple jump and earning Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, Cloud County Community College freshman Conor Matthews has been named the NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Outdoor Track and Field National Athlete of the Week to become the first KJCCC athlete during the 2026 outdoor season to earn national accolades.

Conor Matthews took second place at Emporia State Relays in the triple jump with a mark of 15.35 meters (50 feet, 4.5 inches), which moved him into the number five spot on the NJCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field performance list this season and qualified him for next month's NJCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
