The sophomore catcher from Tonganoxie got off to a fast start by going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and six runs batted in as Labette swept a doubleheader against Jayhawk West foe Independence. Miller also scored three runs and walked once in her five plate appearances.

In her first collegiate start, Jadeyn Wyrick allowed only two baserunners in a five-inning shutout of Independence. The right-hander struck out four and did not walk a batter in the 9-0 win.
