2022 KJCCC Softball Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 10
Player: Gianna De Luca-Paape (Butler)
Gianna De Luca-Paape, sophomore utility player from San Diego, CA, was dominant from the plate all week in the Grizzlies six wins. Paape hit a staggering .692 on the week going 9-13 at the plate. She drove in 13 runs on the week and score 11 times herself. She hit a double and had four homeruns on the week and was walked five times. Defensively she was perfect playing both third base and short stop in games collecting five putouts with two assists.

Pitcher: Allyson Montgomery (Butler)
Allyson Montgomery, the 5-2 freshman right-handed pitcher from Goddard, KS, picked up three wins over the course of last week improving her record to 12-0 on the season for the No. 6-ranked Grizzlies. Montgomery was dominant all week as she struck out 23 batters throughout the week. She gave up one unearned run on the week of five hits in 10 innings of work. Of the 30 outs recorded while she was pitching, 23 of the were strikeouts bringing her season total to 81 K's. Montgomery has allowed just five total runs this year, only three earned and has an ERA of 0.47.
