COLBY, Kan. – Strong showings from Garden City Community College infielder Jade Hendrix and Dodge City Community College pitcher Karli George have led to both players earning Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference D1 Softball Player of the Week honors for the first time this season.

Jade Hendrix – Garden City (KJCCC Division 1 Softball Player of the Week)
Hendrix hit .818 last week and had an on-base percentage of .846 for Garden City as the Lady Broncbusters split four games last week while taking on D1 number 13-ranked McCook CC and Frank Phillips. Recording multi-hit games in three of the four contests, Hendrix scored eight runs, drove in two, and stole five bases across the four games while also drawing one walk.

Karli George – Dodge City (KJCCC Division 1 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Dodge City softball opened the 2026 season going 3-1 with a pair of wins over Frank Phillips and a split with number 13-ranked McCook. Karli George helped the Conquistadors earn a win over 13th-ranked Indians as she tossed a complete game in the circle while giving up just one run on five hits and striking out seven.
