COLBY, Kan. – A home doubleheader sweep of Fort Scott Community College last week for the Johnson County Community College softball team has led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Week 10 Player of the Week awards for Cavalier players Kennedy Glassford and Kyleigh Whitehurst.    

Kennedy Glassford – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week)
Kennedy Glassford tallied a slash line of .667/.714/1.167, going four-for-six with a double, a triple, two home runs, two walks, four runs scored, and five RBI to power the Cavaliers to a pair of 8-0 victories over Fort Scott.

Kyleigh Whitehurst – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Kylie Whitehurst was nearly perfect against Fort Scott last week. The freshman right-hander scattered two singles and struck out three over five innings to earn a complete game 8-0 shutout over the Greyhounds. With the victory, Whitehurst improved to 12-1 on the season.
