KJCCC Division 2 Softball Players of the Week - Week 6
COLBY, Kan. – Leading their respective teams to four wins each last week, Johnson County Community College outfielder Kennedy Glassford and Highland Community College pitcher Kiley Crapo have each been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Players of the Week for Week 6.
Kennedy Glassford – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week)
Kennedy Glassford carried a big bat for the Cavaliers last week to help JCCC to a 4-2 record, which included a sweep of NJCAA Division 1 Barton Community College. The freshman outfielder hit .688 and slugged 1.500 over six games, with seven of her 11 hits going for extra bases. Glassford finished the week by going 11-for-16 at the plate, with three doubles, two triples, two home runs, two walks, 11 runs scored, and 10 RBI.
Kiley Crapo – Highland (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Crapo tossed two complete-game shutouts for Highland as part of a four-game series sweep over Dakota College at Bottineau. After tossing a seven-inning, complete-game, two-hitter in a 6-0 win with eight strikeouts, Crapo added another four strikeouts as part of a five-inning complete game victory the next day to finish off the four-game sweep for the Scotties.
