COLBY, Kan. – A day after earning her first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Player of the Week award, Johnson County Community College outfielder Kennedy Glassford has been named the NJCAA Division 2 Softball National Player of the Week after leading the Cavaliers to four wins over NJCAA Division 1 opponents last week.

Kennedy Glassford carried a big bat for the Cavaliers last week to help JCCC to a 4-2 record, which included a sweep of NJCAA Division 1 Barton Community College. The freshman outfielder hit .688 and slugged 1.500 over six games, with seven of her 11 hits going for extra bases. Glassford finished the week by going 11-for-16 at the plate, with three doubles, two triples, two home runs, two walks, 11 runs scored, and 10 RBI.
