NJCAA Division 2 Softball Week 9 Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – With just two weeks left in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference softball regular season, Johnson County Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College continue to find themselves ranked in the week nine NJCAA Division 2 Softball Top 25 poll.
As teams continue to battle for seeding in next month’s NJCAA Region 6 Plains District Tournament, both the Cavaliers and Blue Devils have managed to take care of business and stay as the top two teams in the KJCCC Division 2 softball standings with Johnson County a perfect 12-0 in league play while KCKCC sports a 9-3 conference record. JCCC swept a home doubleheader over Fort Scott in their lone action of the week last week to improve to 27-9 overall and maintain their number 12 national ranking while Kansas City Kansas picked up four wins across a six-game slate last week, splitting doubleheaders with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Cloud County before sweeping Neosho County to end their week be ranked number 23 this week.
This week’s league schedule shows no signs of slowing down, with four games taking place involving three league teams to begin the schedule on Monday before seeing four more conference teams in action across three doubleheaders among KJCCC Division 1 and Division 2 teams. Wednesday features a busy day, with six doubleheaders slated across the league as all 12 games will be conference games.
