Coming off a medical redshirt season, Barton's  Katrina Roenfeldt made her 2016 debut dropping twenty-four points knocking down six treys while also tying for the team lead in rebounds with seven.   Knocking down 5-of-11 from beyond the arc on Friday, Roenfeldt helped lead Barton to the upset victory over No. 25 Iowa Western scoring twenty-one points with five steals while just missing a double-double hauling down nine rebounds.  Roenfeldt completed her week with twelve points finishing the three games averaging nineteen points and 7.3 rebounds, shooting over 46% including nearly 44% from behind the arc.

JCCC sophomore forward Austin Richardson averaged a double-double of 13.7 points and 11.0 rebounds while leading the No. 5 Lady Cavaliers to three home victories last week. She began the season with an eight-point, seven-rebound effort in a low-scoring 48-32 win over Neosho County. She followed with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 75-55 win over North Central Missouri and 17 points and a career high 16 boards in a 79-35 win over Dodge City.
