Nine KJCCC Women's Basketball Players Named NJCAA All-Americans

CHARLOTTE, NC – Led by the 19th two-time All-American in conference history, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference had nine Women’s Basketball players earn NJCAA All-America accolades following the announcements of the NJCAA Division 1 and Division 2 Women’s Basketball All-America teams on Wednesday, April 8th.
In total, the KJCCC had four players named first or second-team All-Americans, with the nine total players to earn All-America accolades representing eight different conference schools. Johnson County was the lone team to have multiple All-Americans, while Allen, Butler, Coffeyville, Dodge City, Hutchinson, Labette, and Seward County each had one player earn All-America status.
Savi Mi (Dodge City) NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball First Team All-American
Mi becomes the sixth Dodge City women’s basketball player in program history and only second Conquistador to earn First-Team NJCAA All-America accolades following a season where she played in all 33 games and averaged 13.8 points per contest. Shooting 51 percent from the floor and 44.7 percent from three, Mi also averaged 4.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. Mi was selected to the NJCAA Region 6 All-Tournament Team and NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball All-Tournament Team and ranked sixth in the NJCAA in three-point field goal percentage while leading the KJCCC in total assists (141).
Mya Mayberry (Butler) NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Second Team All-American
Mayberry became the ninth Grizzly in program history to earn NJCAA All-America honors and the first since 2023 after starting in all 34 games for Butler this past season and averaging 10.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. The Wichita, Kansas native ranked third in the KJCCC in total assists (137), averaging 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Mayberry also shot 37.2 percent from beyond the arc, the fourth-best three-point percentage in the conference and was a first-team All-KJCCC selection.
Avery Marchino (Seward County) NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Third Team All-American
The KJCCC D1 Women’s Basketball regular season Most Valuable Player, Marchino was the only KJCCC D1 Women’s Basketball player to average over 20 points per game this season after lighting up the scoreboard to average 20.6 points per game. Marchino shot 42.4 percent from the floor while ranking third in the KJCCC in three-point field goal percentage (41.2 percent) and fourth in the league in free-throw percentage (81.6). Getting to the line a conference-best 201 times and converting 164 free throws, Marchino added 7.1 rebounds (eight-best in the KJCCC) and 2.8 assists per game. Scoring a season-best 38 in a home win over Independence on February 18th, Marchino was held to single-digit scoring totals just four times in 32 games this season.
Aubrey Hishaw (Coffeyville) NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Honorable Mention All-American
Hishaw becomes the ninth Red Raven in program history and first since 2022 to earn All-America honors after finishing the year as one of three players for Coffeyville to average double-figures by scoring 14.1 points per game. Adding 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest, Hishaw ranked third in the KJCCC in made field goals (185) and offensive rebounds (106) while ranking in the top 10 in the league in total rebounds (242, fourth), rebounds per game (fifth), and points per game (eighth).
KaMyra Barber (Hutchinson) NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Honorable Mention All-American
The KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Year, Barber becomes the 20th Hutchinson player in program history to be named an All-American after leading HCC in scoring this season with a 13.2 points per game average. Barber was also Hutchinson’s leading rebounder at 6.8 rebounds per contest and provided 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Starting the season by scoring in double-figures in six-straight games, Barber finished the regular season by scoring in double-figures in 26 games, including 15 of 24 games against conference foes.
Layla Scott (Johnson County) NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball First Team All-American
The KJCCC Division 2 women’s basketball scoring average leader at 16.9 points per contest, Scott becomes a two-time All-American after leading JCCC to a 35-1 overall record and third-place finish at the 2026 NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball National Tournament. Scott led the KJCCC in three-point field goal percentage (40.4 percent) and became Johnson County’s all-time made three-point field goal record holder this season after knocking down 118 triples in 36 games. The sophomore also led the league in assists (149), and total points (607), while leading NJCAA Division 2 in made three-point field goals and ranking fifth in total points scored.
Yolaine Luthi (Allen) NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball Second Team All-American
Allen’s leading scorer, Luthi becomes the first Red Devil since 1990 to earn NJCAA All-America honors and third player in program history after leading ACC to the NJCAA Region 6 Tournament semifinals. Scoring 9.2 points per game and adding 6.0 rebounds per contest, Luthi provided 25 steals and four blocks on the defensive end as the Red Devils held opponents to just 53.9 points per game.
Ahmani Klabunde (Labette) NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball Third Team All-American
The KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Newcomer of the Year, Klabunde helped engineer a Cardinal turnaround that saw Labette advance to the NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 Women’s Basketball Tournament semifinals and win seven games this season after combining for four total wins the previous two years. Becoming the 11th Labette player in program history to earn All-America honors, Klabunde ranked second in the KJCCC in scoring average after scoring 15.9 points per contest and averaged 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest while adding 53 steals and seven blocks across 24 games.
Mia Adams (Johnson County) NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball Honorable Mention All-American
The KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Year, Adams was one of five players for Johnson County to average double-figures and averaged 13.6 points per game. Adams ranked fifth among KJCCC Division 2 players this season in scoring and added 3.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game while posting an efficient 47.3 percent shooting average. Adams was also named to the NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 Women’s Basketball All-Tournament team and NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball National Tournament All-Tournament teams.
