2025-26 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 16
COLBY, Kan. – For the second-straight week, Seward County guard Avery Marchino has earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and is joined by the final Division 2 winner of the 2025-26 season, Kylee West of Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Avery Marchino – Seward County (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Marchino paced Seward County in a 1-1 week with a loss at Barton and a home win over Cowley. For the week, Marchino averaged 27.5 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, and 4.0 assists per game. The sophomore opened the week with a game-high 25 points and seven rebounds in a road loss at Barton before putting together a near triple-double performance three days later by scoring 30 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out eight assists in a 104-55 home win over Cowley.
Kylee West – KCKCC (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
West delivered a dominant week for the Blue Devils, leading the team to a 2-0 record with wins over Fort Scott and an overtime win against Neosho County to secure a home game in the NJCAA Region 6 D2 Plains District Tournament. The sophomore set a KCKCC women’s basketball program record with 26 rebounds in Saturday’s victory over Neosho County, which included 13 offensive rebounds. West averaged 14.0 points, 18.0 rebounds, 5.0 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game across the two games while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor.
