2025-26 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 3
COLBY, Kan. – A 57-point week across two games for Seward County guard Avery Marchino and the first collegiate triple-double for Kansas City Kansas Community College player Kylee West has led to the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades for both players.
Avery Marchino – Seward County (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Sophomore guard Avery Marchino poured in 57 total points across two games at the New Mexico Junior College Classic as the Seward County Lady Saints went 1-1 over the weekend. Marchino finished with a career-high 33 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists in Seward's overtime loss at the 11th-ranked New Mexico Junior College on Friday night before scoring 24 points and adding five rebounds, three assists and three steals in the Lady Saints' 52-point win over Dallas College Cedar Valley. Marchino has scored in double figures in all six games this season, scoring 20-plus four times and 25-plus three times. She enters KJCCC play averaging 22.8 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Kylee West – KCKCC (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Kylee West delivered a standout week for the Blue Devils, highlighted by her first collegiate triple-double. West's triple-double came against Metropolitan in the second game of the week, finishing with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 steals. West also recorded a double-double against Kankakee Community College by scoring 16 points and grabbing a game-high 18 rebounds while adding five steals in a 74-65 defeat that saw the Blue Devils end the week 2-1. For the week, West averaged 10 points per contest on 63.6 percent shooting in addition to 12.3 rebounds and 5.3 steals per contest.
