2025-26 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 6
COLBY, Kan. – Unbeaten weeks for Garden City Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College were led by strong performances from Broncbuster guard Sokhna Ndiaye and Blue Devil sophomore Kylee West as both have earned their second Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors of the 2025-26 season.
Sokhna Ndiaye – Garden City (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Sokhna Ndiaye delivered a standout week, leading the Broncbusters to a statement win over number 11 Butler with 29 points and seven rebounds, while going a perfect six-of-six from the free-throw line. The freshman followed up her performance in the upset win with another strong performance, adding 17 points and five rebounds in a road win at Independence. Garden City is now 9-1 this season, with Ndiaye currently ranking second in the KJCCC in scoring average (19.6 points per game) and ninth in steals (26).
Kylee West – KCKCC (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Kylee West helped lead Kansas City Kansas to a pair of wins at the John Wood Classic over the weekend, including a dominant all-around performance in a 67-52 win over host John Wood Community College to close out the week. West scored a game-best 21 points on nine-of-14 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds, including seven offensive rebounds, to go along with four steals and a block in the win. Across the two games, West averaged 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, while adding nine total steals for KCKCC while helping the Blue Devils improve to 9-4 overall this year.
