KJCCC Women's Basketball Teams See No Change To Rankings In Week 11 NJCAA Poll
NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Week 11 Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball Week 11 Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – As Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference women’s basketball contenders start to create separation within the conference standings, four ranked teams have held steady in the latest NJCAA Women’s Basketball Top 25 rankings by holding the same rankings as the previous week.
With no changes to the rankings for KJCCC schools, the conference has three teams ranked in the top five of their respective polls for a second-straight week after the four teams combined to go a perfect 7-0 across the week’s action. In addition to the four ranked teams, a fifth is receiving votes for a second-straight week and just outside of the latest NJCAA Division 2 Top 25 poll.
Halfway through their 12-game KJCCC slate, Johnson County Community College remains unbeaten following wins over Neosho County on the road and Allen at home last week after playing the two teams in the conference standings that sit directly behind the Cavaliers. Despite the defeat for Allen on the road at JCCC, the Lady Devils remain just outside the top 25 and receiving votes as their road game at Johnson County was their only action of the week.
Within the latest NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Top 25 poll, Dodge City Community College and Butler Community College remain neck and neck with each other as the Conquistadors and Grizzlies both held their number three and number four rankings after DC3 defeated Cloud County while Butler took down Pratt and Fort Hays Tech Northwest last week. The Grizzlies currently hold a one-half game lead within the KJCCC standings over Dodge City as both teams are three games clear of third-place Hutchinson, who is ranked 20th this week following wins over Independence and Seward County last week.
Looking at this week’s schedule, two games in KJCCC D2 action will take place Monday night after being postponed earlier this season as Highland will play at Labette and Neosho County will be at Allen in a battle for second place in the KJCCC standings. Three of the four ranked teams will then be in action as part of a nine-game slate on Wednesday night with Dodge City traveling to Colby while Butler will host Garden City and Hutchinson will host Barton. Saturday will feature another eight games across the conference as Dodge highlighted by Dodge City hosting Coffeyville before seeing the week conclude with a single game on Sunday when Seward County travels to Goodland to take on Fort Hays Tech Northwest.
