Week 11 - Division I KJCCC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week

Player: Nina Norshie - Barton CC
Nina Norshie accounted for six of the Cougars’ eight goals this past week leading Barton to the Jayhawk West title and advancing past the first round of District playoffs. Netting two of her three Tuesday goals in a span of less than a minute, Norshie completed the hat-trick eighteen minutes later leading the Cougars to victory claiming the outright title. In Saturday’s District first round, Norshie again accounted for three goals, putting the first score on the board, delivering the game winning assist then putting the game on ice with a 75th minute net shaker. The week result increased her nation lead to 42 goals and 90 points for the second and third best single season performance in program history.

Goalkeeper: Catriona Burns - Coffeyville CC
Red Raven sophomore goalkeeper Catriona Burns was solid for Coffeyville in their Quarterfinal District 5-2 victory over Cowley College. Burns saved 5 of the 7 shots she faced and helped enable the Ravens to earn the victory.
