Seven From KJCCC Earn NJCAA Women's Soccer All-America Honors

CHARLOTTE, NC – For the second-straight season, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference saw seven different players from four different institutions land on the NJCAA's Division 1 and Division 2 Women's Soccer All-America Teams.
Included in the list are four players to earn NJCAA First-Team All-America status with Cowley's Saki Sanno, Hutchinson's Anastasia Pokrandt, and Johnson County's Brecken Hoy and Lily Marshall earning First-Team All-America honors in their respective divisions. Sanno is joined by teammate Sara Cortes, who was named a second-team NJCAA D1 Women's Soccer All-American, while Hoy and Marshall saw teammate Ashley Chaput earn NJCAA D2 Women's Soccer Second-Team All-American status. Rounding out the seven-member All-America group from the KJCCC was Kansas City Kansas Community College defender Lillian Chronister, who earned NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Third-Team All-American accolades. In total, the KJCCC has now had 88 players earn NJCAA Women's Soccer All-America status since 1983, including 12 players who have been two-time NJCAA All-Americans. Saki Sanno (Cowley) NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer First Team All-American
The KJCCC Division 1 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year, Sanno finished second in the KJCCC with 13 total goals this season while leading the conference with 14 assists. The freshman also ranked second in league in total points (44) and took a KJCCC-best 122 shots this season after helping the Tigers advance to the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Tournament semifinals where they fell to eventual National Champion Daytona State. Nationally, Sanno led all NJCAA Division 1 women's soccer players in shots and ranked third in assists.
Anastasia Pokrandt (Hutchinson) NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer First Team All-American
Earning KJCCC Division 1 Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors for a second-straight season, Pokrandt helped the Blue Dragons to a 12-2-4 overall record this season and second-place finish in the KJCCC D1 Women's Soccer regular season standings and NJCAA Plains District Tournament runner-up finish. Anchoring the HCC back line, Pokrandt appeared in and started all 20 games for the Blue Dragons while helping Hutchinson allow 16 total goals while posting 10 shutouts. As a team, Hutchinson ranked 13th in the NJCAA total shutouts, 19th in goals against average (0.82), and 27th in total goals allowed.
Sara Cortes (Cowley) NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Second Team All-American
Another Tiger freshman that had a big impact this season for Cowley, Cortes led KJCCC Division 1 women's soccer in goals (20) and points (44) while taking the second-most shots of all players in the league with 79 total shots. Nationally, Cortes ranked sixth in total goals and 12th in points, while seeing four of her goals wind up as game-winners, which ranked 10th nationally.
Brecken Hoy (Johnson County) NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer First Team All-American
Earning KJCCC Division 2 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year honors, Hoy led all KJCCC Division 2 women's soccer players in assists (21) and total points (49) while ranking second in the league in goals (14) as the Cavaliers went 21-1-1 this season, which included a perfect 18-0-0 regular season. Among the national leaders in NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer, Hoy ranked third in both assists (21) and game-winning goals (seven), while ranking 17th in points and 32nd in goals.
Lily Marshall (Johnson County) NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Second Team All-American
One of just five players for Johnson County to appear in and start all 23 games this past season, Marshall had a strong offensive showing from her midfield position by scoring nine goals and assisting on nine more goals to tally 27 total points, which ranked fifth in the KJCCC. Marshall was the KJCCC D2 Women's Soccer Week 7 Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and an assist over nationally ranked St. Charles Community College and had eight multi-point games this year.
Ashley Chaput (Johnson County) NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Second Team All-American
Helping lead a Johnson County back line that allowed a total of eight goals, Chaput was the KJCCC D2 Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year as JCCC won 17 of their 21 games by shutout. Over the course of the 23 games played by Johnson County, only one team scored more than one goal against the Cavaliers, with JCCC allowing the fewest goals of any NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer team this season and posting an NJCAA Division 2-best 18 shutouts and 0.35 goals against average.
Lillian Chronister (KCKCC) NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Third Team All-American
Chronister was a key piece in the Blue Devils' first season of competition at the NJCAA Division 2 level, helping KCKCC finish with a 13-4-2 overall record while spending most of the season ranked in the top 15 of the NJCAA Division 2 women's soccer poll. One of just five players for KCKCC to start all 19 games this season, Chronister was part of a back line that contributed to a 0.97 goals against average as the Blue Devils allowed 18 total goals this season, with 10 wins coming by shutout.
