2025 KJCCC D2 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 2
COLBY, Kan. – Three goals and an assist across two games for Allen Community College sophomore Charlotte Gatehouse and four saves for Johnson County sophomore Avery Young have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors for week two of the 2025 season.
Charlotte Gatehouse (Allen) – KJCCC D2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
Charlotte showed true composure and timing of runs with her two goals against Crowder along with an assist to help Allen to a 5-1 home win. The sophomore found herself with the early game-winner three days later in a road match at State Fair Community College to extend Allen's winning streak to three ahead of their KJCCC opener this week.
Avery Young (Johnson County) – KJCCC D2 Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
JCCC sophomore goalkeeper Avery Young turned away all four shots she faced in 51 minutes of action before exiting with the Cavaliers up by five goals in an eventual 6-0 win at Metropolitan. The victory moved Young to 2-0-0 on the season.
