2025 KJCCC D2 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 6
COLBY, Kan. – Remaining unbeaten this season with wins over Southeast Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College last week, the Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team has swept the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week awards for week six as Cavalier Players Tatum Bresette and Avery Young have earned this week’s awards.
Tatum Bresette (Johnson County) – KJCCC D2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
Johnson County sophomore Tatum Bresette helped lead the number two-ranked Cavaliers to a pair of wins last week. Bressette accounted for a goal and an assist in a 15-0 blowout over Southeast to begin the week. Three days later, in a top 10 battle with Kansas City Kansas, Bresette scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory to help keep the Cavaliers unbeaten at 11-0-0. Bresette now has five goals and four assists on the season.
Avery Young (Johnson County) – KJCCC D2 Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Johnson County goalkeeper Avery Young continued her dominance in goal, extending her shutout streak to 686 minutes, 4 seconds. Young has not allowed a goal in her last nine starts. In her only appearance last week, Young stopped all five shots she faced to preserve a 2-0 shutout over number 10-ranked Kansas City Kansas. For the season, Young is a perfect 10-0-0 with four solo clean sheets and four shared shutouts. Her 0.12 goals-against average leads all NJCAA Division 2 goalkeepers.
