KJCCC Goalkeepers Earn NJCAA Soccer Week 3 Goalie Of The Week Honors
CHARLOTTE, NC – Winners of Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference soccer Goalkeeper of the Week awards, Garden City Community College freshman Milli D’Ath and Kansas City Kansas Community College sophomore Kleber Menenses Fabian have each earned NJCAA Soccer Goalie of the Week honors after leading their teams to unbeaten weeks.
Millie D’Ath (Garden City) – NJCAA D1 Women’s Soccer Goalie of the Week
Freshman Millie D'Ath anchored Garden City's defense in a 1-0 shutout victory over number 20 Butler Community College, recording nine saves to secure a clean sheet and give the Broncbusters a statement win to improve to 7-0-1.
Kleber Meneses Fabian (KCKCC) – NJCAA D2 Men’s Soccer Goalie of the Week
Kleber Meneses Fabian saw a total of 22 shots on target and managed to let only two get by him as Kansas City Kansas picked up a road win at Pratt, followed by a 3-0 home shutout of number 15 Central Community College. Meneses Fabian started his week by saving 10 of 12 shots on goal in addition to turning away a penalty kick in a conference road match at Pratt as the Blue Devils went on to earn a 4-2 win. Three days later, Meneses Fabian played a vital role in a 3-0 shutout against the 15th-ranked Raiders by saving all nine shots on goal that he faced. Meneses Fabian currently leads all KJCCC D2 goalkeepers with 40 saves, 16 more than any other goalkeeper in the conference.
