Barton's Katie Potter Named NJCAA D1 Women's Soccer Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC – Helping Barton Community College pick up three wins last week while tallying eight points, Cougar sophomore Katie Potter has been named NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer National Player of the Week to become the second KJCCC D1 women’s soccer player this season to earn a national accolade.

Sophomore Katie Potter played a key role in Barton's perfect 3-0 week, which included an upset victory over number 20 Garden City to get the Cougars back over .500 on the year. Potter totaled three goals and two assists for eight points, highlighted by a two-goal, one-assist outing in a 5-1 road win at Lamar. The sophomore added another goal in Barton's 3-0 shutout at Dodge City and set up a score in the win over Garden City. For the week, Potter had a .429 shooting percentage and .857 mark for shots on goal, while seeing one of her goals against Lamar serve as the game-winner.
