NJCAA Releases Preseason Women's Soccer Polls, Five KJCCC Teams Represented
NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – The NJCAA has released their 2025 women’s soccer preseason polls with five Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams represented in the top 20 of their respective preseason rankings.
All three national qualifying teams from last year are once again ranked to begin the season with Johnson County holding the highest ranking of any team by being ranked preseason number two after reaching the National Championship match for a second-straight year last season. Also ranked in the NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Soccer preseason poll is Kansas City Kansas Community College who holds the number seven preseason ranking after advancing to the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer National Tournament last year and spending most of the 2024 season ranked in the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer rankings. The Blue Devils will transition to the NJCAA Division 2 ranks in 2025 under first-year head coach Jefferson Roblee.
In the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer preseason rankings, Cowley College holds the number seven ranking after making a second-straight National Tournament appearance last year and finishing the year with an 11-7-3 overall record. Perennial KJCCC power Butler Community College is ranked 11th in the preseason poll under Adam Hunter who enters his 19th season with the program as the Grizzlies are coming off a 13-3-4 overall record and share of the 2024 KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Soccer regular season title. Hutchinson Community College is also ranked in the preseason poll, holding the number 15 ranking heading into the 2025 season.
The first NJCAA Women’s Soccer polls of the 2025 regular season are scheduled to come out on Tuesday, September 2nd as the season will begin on Thursday, August 21st. Following the release on the 2nd, polls will be released Weekly on Monday afternoons throughout the regular season.
