KJCCC Kansas MTXE D2 Volleyball Athletes of the Week, Week 2, 2017

Katie Gorman continues to put up big numbers on the defensive end. She was a key component in Fort Scott's match versus Kirkwood, putting up 50 digs. She averaged 8.28 digs per set on the week, making her average for the year at 7.63 digs per set. She is currently leading the conference in digs and digs per set and is leading the nation with a total of 244 digs.

Milica Kusmuk had 18 kills and hit .220 on the road against No. 17-ranked Johnson County. She also recorded a double-double against Arlington Baptist while hitting an impressive .647. Overall, she led Cowley in total kills (50) and kills per set (3.84) as the Lady Tigers went 4-0 on the week.

Katie Pearson had another exceptional weekend for the Scotties, totaling 61 assists in a win over MCC-Longview. After earning the opportunity to run a 5-1 offense, Pearson totaled 160 total assists and 46 digs in four matches. Her solid play helped Highland go 3-1 on the week.
