KJCCC Kansas MTXE D2 Volleyball Athletes of the Week, Week 7, 2017

Kelsey Rankin, Kansas City KS, started running a 6-2 against Longview Community College but took over running a 5-1 in the third set. She averaged a stellar 12.05 assists per set on the weekend. On the defensive side she averaged 4.26 digs per set and as a freshman she has been a consistent factor that the Blue Devils are looking for. Her 61 assists in a tough five-set lost to Northeast Community College (NE) was a career-high.

Megan Turner, Fort Scott, had a strong week, putting up five double-doubles against very tough competition.  On the week, she averaged 5.15 kills per set, while also putting up 4.55 digs per set. She had a great match versus No. 16-ranked Iowa Central, putting up 26 kills, 31 digs, a block and an ace. 

Katie Gorman, Fort Scott, continues to put up big numbers on the defensive side. She averaged 8.6 digs in a tough weekend. She had an amazing 48 digs in both five set matches and also passed 96 percent in serve receive for the week. She is currently first in the country in digs and third in digs per set.
