SAINTS AND A BUSTER EARN WEEKLY KJCCC HONORS
Seward County outside hitter Yanlis Feliz was again named the Jayhawk Confernece Division I Volleyball Player of the Week. Joining her as Setter of the Week is teammage Laura De Pra. Winning her first weekly award as the KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week is Garden City's Alexandra Jackson
PLAYER - Yanlis Feliz, Seward County
Yanlis Feliz had two matches this week with double-doubles against Pratt and Colby. Having team high in kills and digs in the match versus Colby, she had less than 25 attempts she still had 16 kills which is a season best in attempts-to-kill. Seward County has yet to drop a set this season in league play.

SETTER - Laura De Pra, Seward County
Laura De Pra continued her success with 114 total digs last week for the Lady Saints as they remain perfect in the Jayhawk West. She also had a season-high three blocks against Butler and provided a total of four blocks during the week. De Pra also was one shy of her season high in digs in a match with nine against Pratt.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER - Alexandra Jackson, Garden City
After going nearly two years without a win, Alexandra Jackson has been a calming force for a Broncbuster team that has suddenly won 6 out of its last 6 matches. She recorded a season-high 24 digs in a come-from-behind victory vs. Pratt. She added 10 in a sweep of Dodge City and had her team up two points in the first set against Colby on Saturday. She finished with 13 digs. She's now recorded double-digit digs in 12 straight matches.
