KJCCC Division II Volleyball Post-Season Awards Announced

Complete list of 2020-21 Awards Selections
Johnson County Community College, the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division champion, leads the 2020-2021 Division II Volleyball post-season selections by landing two players on the first team and two more on the second team. The No. 4-ranked Lady Cavaliers had an additional three players earn Honorable Mention recognition.
Coach of the Year
Leading Johnson County to an 18-2 conference mark and a District A Tournament title, Jennifer EI was named the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division Coach of the Year. Now in her 13th year as head coach of the Cavaliers, Coach Ei has led Johnson County to a record of 23-2 and a No. 4 national ranking. The conference title was her third as head coach at Johnson County.
Most Valuable Player
Fort Scott sophomore outside hitter Julianna Squire provided the Lady Greyhounds with a solid presence on the floor, each and every match. Squire finished the season with 369 kills and 223 digs. She added 30 blocks and 18 service aces. For the season, she averaged 4.92 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .248.
Freshman of the Year
With Gracie Story being named the Setter and Freshman of the Year, she is the second consecutive Lady Tiger to earn the Setter of the Year award with Caroline Foster being awarded Setter of the Year in 2019. She is also Cowley's first conference Freshman of the Year recipient since Hannah Nicolaisen in 2017.
Story leads the NJCAA with 10.75 assists per set and was the league-leader with 10.67 assists per set during conference play. Her 1,043 assists rank 10th most in program history in a season.
